We custom ordered this extraordinary guitar when we were at the Martin factory in July of 2014. I was there visiting the factory with my two boys Andrew and Johnathan. Long time friend Chris Martin was a great host and also gave us a full tour of his Martin Museum. We then met with the people from the Martin Custom Shop and started going through lots of beautiful exotic woods. We came up for some cool ideas for custom built Martin D size guitars that would look stunning and sound Great! Basically I wanted to order Martin D-28’s with crazy cool wood and real classic Martin appointments. This Custom Shop Martin is one of the guitar we ordered, it features hand picked, highly figured book matched Cocobolo wood back and sides, a scalloped, solid Adirondack Spruce top finished with a slight aging toner, a Performing Artist Profile solid Mahogany 14 fret neck with an unbound Ebony fingerboard and vintage Style 42 Snowflake Abalone inlays. The headstock face is also matching Cocobolo with the C. F. Martin block logo made of selected Abalone Pearl /Golden Era style inlay and is fitted with a set of gold Grover Sta-Tite tuners with an 18:1 ratio and vintage buttons. The guitar comes with a deluxe Martin custom hardshell case and a Martin Lifetime Warranty. This is a one of a kind guitar and is probably one of the best sounding guitars that I’ve ever played! Just Amazing!!
